Company Story

In 2011, Mr BULUC Auguste was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is treated in Paris, where he undergoes an operation. Following the surgery, he contacted people he knew in the United States and Mexico who were working on the development of holothurian-based capsules. These tablets seem to improve the life’s quality of patients who are undergoing treatment for cancer.

Mr. BULUC tested the treatment and after several weeks his health improved and the idea of setting up a similar project back in French Polynesia, was born.

Once he had recovered from his cancer, Auguste started looking for partners to develop his idea. In 2018, he met Laurent BURGY (Holothuria scabra hatchery expert in New Caledonia) and together they continued to develop the project.

In 2019, the company Tahiti Marine Products (S.C.A TMP) was created and responded to the call for applications from the Ministry of Marine resources (DRM) on the feasibility of an aquaculture sector for white teatfish sea cucumber“Holothuria fuscogilva” and black teatfish sea cucumbers “Holothuria whitmaei” in French Polynesia.

These two species with very high added value have been little studied (reproductive methods /larval rearing not documented). The challenge is collasal.

Since 2022 with a lot of trial and hard work, TMP is now able to produce in a sustainable way the white teatfish sea cucumber.

With this achievement, the new challenge was to transform first this sea cucumber into Nutraceutical health supplement.

In 2023 Larry Tchiou and Fabrice Ancey joined Auguste Buluc in the new created company Tahiti Marine Singapore Pte Ltd for processing and distribution of nutraceutical health complement from
